will i lose this discus

    one of my discus has been hanging head down in the tank for a few days now, it doesnt seem able to right its self, can it be helped or will i lose it

    It probably has a swim bladder problem. I've never known a discus to go back right again tbh.

    Is this a common problem with discus and is there a cure for it.

    I've tried the lot with no success ,lowering the water to just above top fin epsom salt shelled peas etc but never cured it.hate to see a fish like this so normally dig out the clove oil.

    I've had two adult discus go like this over the last year and like you tried everything . After 6 months they eventually start to lose weight. I used koi calm.
    It appears to be a swim bladder problem but I would rule out constipation. There were no other signs of illness. Someone somewhere must know what the problem is.

    Most likely swim bladder infection. All my old fish end up this way. I guess the older they are with weaker immunity system they are more prone to infections and this one just kills them slowly. Many fish recovers but after some time, sometimes months the problem is back.
