these rarely amount to much IMO, have you salt bathed the fish ???I would start with this if it is an isolated incident if it is rife in the tank then i would PP the tank mate. let ,me know if you need guidance on PP

I would try the salt bath first Jizzy http://forum.bidka.org/showthread.php?t=161&highlight=salt bath

Hows your filter at the moment ? The PP may knock your filter back and I think you have had enough problems with that .

    Salt bath here http://forum.bidka.org/showthread.php?t=161

PP is Potassium Permanganate but you will also need quality scales to add the correct amount to you tank BUT you dont need to do that follow the salt bath instructions and the fish will be fine ;)

And Jez you have so much strength to keep on mate well done

Spot on mate , I followed that thread when I did my first salt bath and it worked a treat . The thing to remember is every fish is different , the first time I did it the fish acted as if it was still in the tank the second time a different fish just laid on its side but it was not to distressed I left it in and kept an eye on its gills , as long as they are moving it should be fine :) Let us know how you get on mate .

    Update

I did a salt bath following the link and after about 8 mins the discus started to roll so i panicked and put it back in the main tank,

It hasnt lost any slime coat/mucus like the link says and the white things are still there,
One minute u can see them sticking out ov its body then the 10 mins later there gone , then they come back and so on

Do you have someware to put the fish, as you keep having constant problems try to remove everything and have it as a b.b for a while and see what happens as it will be easier to clean

Understandably may not be as good to look at but I'm sure you will be willing to try anything;)
